Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prisons to them that are bound..."
The Lord is calling us for such a time as this to love as He loves. This means not turning a blind eye or deaf ear to the needs around us. So, as much as we are able, based off of the donations we receive, we try to provide for the needs of those who have become like family to us. Which in perspective to what God says, we are all His children, so we are all family.
Our new building does not provide us the facilities to provide a hot meal, but we can find resources to help those who are hungry to have food to eat, such as the food pantry that is open every Thursday evening from 6 - 8pm at the Northern Boulevard United Methodist Church located at the corner of Northern and Winner in Independence. It is a wonderful ministry and just one of the places we will be networking with in the future.
If you can't help us keep the ministry going financially, then please keep it going with your prayers of support. Prayers can move mountains!
