H.A.R.T. Ministries is a 501c3 non-profit, non-denominational, Christ-centered, faith-based ministry, which has been an outreach to homeless and impoverished individuals and families in Kansas City since 2004. In November 2016, we moved into a new facility at 2121 S. Sterling Ave, Annex Building in Independence, Missouri. This is a time of transition in the ministry as God has called us to continue with our work, but on a new level. He has asked us to establish a "House of Prayer", a "House of Praise", and a "House of Offerings". We have a picture forming for the first two in our new building, however the last one may end up being more fluid or mobile. We are continuing with monthly worships and currently, we are working on a schedule for the "House of Prayer." During this time of transition, we are still engaged in helping several individuals around Kansas City in whatever way we are able, with the task of rebuilding their lives and finding a renewed sense of God-given purpose. We teach two main principles of love, that all of God's children have worth and value and that each one is called according to their God-given gifts, to seek first to build up the kingdom. Through God's eyes of love, He sees all people as having value. Matt. 25:40 "And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'"
We don't receive grants and we don't have the financial support of a mega church. Instead, we rely upon the Lord to supply our every need and in turn we give what we have received freely. We are all volunteers, driving from various distances to give to people who have become like family to us.
We have been given a vision from the Lord of the Kansas City area being transformed into "a birthing center of cities of refuge and apostolic mission centers around the world." During our monthly worships, we are engaging in intercessory prayer for this vision to come forth. Prayer is not the only answer, though, action is also required. God's love overcoming all things, is an action, not just a nice statement or thought. So we are asking God to ignite a fire through these worships, in the hearts of those who will come, to be engaged in God-given purpose however they may find God calling them to reach out.
Our logo is an image of a buck standing over a fawn; it is a symbol of restoration and healing. Malachi 4:5-6 says, "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers..." This scripture speaks of restoring and healing relationships between fathers and children, and our logo represents this scripture, since you would not normally see in nature the buck standing over the fawn. Also, the name HART, comes from Isaiah 35:6, which says, "and the lame man shall leap as a hart (deer)." All of these elements came through prayer and fasting. We are grateful to the Lord for His provision of such a powerful message for this ministry. We pray for His direction as we seek to be instruments of healing and restoration in Kansas City and the surrounding metropolitan area.
To create a safe and accepting community for all to find healing for the body, mind, spirit, emotions and relationships.
